Nevada State Museum
J.A. Tiberti Construction was the general contractor on the Nevada State Museum. We provided the management, overall supervision and construction of the project. We self-performed all of the concrete, forming, miscellaneous carpentry, installation of all doors, frames and hardware.
Located on the site of the Las Vegas Springs Preserve, the museum is a 2-story reinforced concrete structure with 80,000 sq. ft. of interior space. The facility is serviced by specially engineered climate-controlled HVAC systems to maintain constant temperature and humidity to offset deterioration of artifacts and exhibits.
The lower level consists 40,000 sq. ft. housing of back-of-house support facilities including staff offices, collections storage, carpentry shops, graphic workshops, and a public meeting room.
The main museum level contains 40,000 sq. ft. of permanent and temporary exhibit space, a special events room with catering facilities, museum gift shop, future cafe space, classroom instructional space, and library storage space with attached reading room.
