James Regional Sports Complex (Phase 1)
The James Regional Sports Complex (phase 1) is comprised of two parts. On the NE corner of the property, an "All Inclusive" playground, parking lot, and Restroom Building was completed in October of 2018. The remainder of the 80-acre project is comprised of nine natural turf soccer fields, a 4600 SF Maintenance building, restroom facilities, additional parking, Trash enclosure, Irrigation booster pump facilities and areas of Native restoration.
The playground and its facilities were designed such that no one, regardless of physical or psychological limitations, would be limited in any way to enjoy the playgrounds amenities. The design consultants and owner spent considerable time and thought on making the playground accessible.
The soccer fields boast the latest in sports lighting technology. Over one million square feet of natural turf were installed on the nine fields. The Irrigation system and soccer fields are broken up into "pods" which allows the owner to easily isolate certain fields for repair and maintenance while other fields are open to the community.
